Mobile App Development, UX, and Publishing

In this Specialization, you'll move from your first Android screen to a complete cross-platform mobile app that you can show an employer. You'll start in Android Studio with Kotlin, then build for both Android and iOS using React Native and Expo, and finish by designing and building an app of your own. Along the way, you'll set up development environments, run apps on Android emulators and iOS simulators, and lay out screens with LinearLayout, Flexbox, and styled-components. You'll handle touch events and forms, validate input with Formik and Yup, render efficient lists with FlatList and SectionList, and manage state with useState, useReducer, the Context API, and Redux. You'll also store data locally with AsyncStorage, fetch live data from REST APIs, schedule notifications, and build APK files. These are the everyday tasks of mobile developers, front-end developers, and engineers who focus on UI and UX. The Specialization fits two groups: developers moving into mobile development, and web developers who already know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
