Do the assignments always! It was a really fun course I've learned a lot. It should've been 1 month for me if I've done the portfolio projects soon rather than later 10/10 recommend!

Some of the information was outdated. (Hold shift to scale something is the opposite in the updated version of photoshop) Also there was projects that told me to open the file labelled for the previous project however in the zip file it was labelled correctly. Just reccomend more attention to detail and organizatio when it comes to builing the course. otherwise a great starter course for learning basic artistic programs.

some parts of course were at wrong time, I mean 4 module could be 1st to better understand everything
It is inconsistent. Most frustrating of all is that the tests have content not covered anywhere in the lessons. For example, in one of the earlier lessons about color theory in various cultures, they question was about an example never covered in the course. It was like this on each test. I could use the "Coach" feature repeatedly, which seemed like a really useful and positive feature, but the test would have completely different content. Also, the tests were weird in some of the answers which seemed arbitrary and subjective. And the prevalence of typos and errors in the content was frustrating. The foundational skills in design were useful and the presentation was accessible. Photoshop is a weird choice for the "professional graphic designer's primary tool". In my experience that is not the case. But I did learn some good photoshop techniques in this course. All in all, not worth the steep Coursera price. It would have been helpful to layout all the skills to be learned in all the course of this Xbox design program. For example, the whole first module was on photoshop, which is a useful tool, but not at all the primary graphic design tool (how many jokes are there about "I designed this logo/website in photoshop - there are a lot). A preview of what tools we were going to learn would have been helpful, it seemed like this course was kind of a joke highlighting photoshop the way it did with no idea of where it was going. Negativity aside, there are some very nice features. Coach for one is very helpful, if limited. I also thought all three of the presenters have been easy to listen to. I actually find that I'd like them to pop back up in the future! The actual xbox branding of the course is fun, maybe in later programs, they will bring it up as an example! Okay, the dumb factor just increased. On the quiz about outlining text, the question asked about the drawbacks of outlining text. In the previous video it said two of the drawbacks are losing editability of the text and increased file size. In the test question there were two obviously wrong answers, and then the other two were losing editability or increased file size. How do I chose? It's a 50/50 guess. But then the "hint" below the answer said increased file size was wrong! When literally, the video went through a whole thing about why that might be a problem!! The tests are dumb. Over and over again they have questions with vague answers or about topics not even covered.
Couldn't do the course unfortunately, it requires adobe photoshop, which I don't have, I use clip studio paint, nor do I want to support adobe with all their AI crap. Speaking of, this certificate has you using AI for your advantage in later courses, and I'm against AI being used in art.
